Burke Doeren is a Los Angeles-based director, cinematographer, and co-founder of 22 Waves Creative. Burke specializes in cinematic branded content, commercials, and feature films. With a background in Film Production from Chapman University, Burke has built a diverse portfolio that spans collaborations with major brands and networks, including Disney, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Viacom, and The Walking Dead franchise.
Burke leads projects that blend traditional storytelling with innovative visual techniques. His work includes directing and shooting campaigns for clients such as Porsche, Dwell Magazine, Fairmont Hotels, and Kourtney Kardashian. Notably, he served as the Director of Photography for Netflix’s “Hyperdrive” and Discovery Channel’s “BattleBots,” showcasing his expertise in specialty camera work.
Burke’s directorial debut feature film, “Grizzly Night,” is set to premiere in 2025. The film, based on true events from Glacier National Park in 1967, was shot using ARRI’s ALEXA 35 camera system to achieve a vintage aesthetic with modern reliability. The production emphasized dynamic range and color accuracy, allowing for flexibility in various lighting conditions.
Beyond his commercial and narrative work, Burke’s short film “The Possible Life” received a nomination at the Indie Short Fest in June 2024, reflecting his ongoing commitment to storytelling across different formats. He continues to push creative boundaries, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes quality and innovation in visual storytelling.
